The Gas City Pilot Light are Medicine Hat's Level 1 and 2 mixed Junior Roller Derby team.

Junior roller derby is quickly growing in this city and around the world.

Level 1 roller derby gets the kids started in learning the game of derby and team work, and is no-contact. This allows them to safely get a handle on their skating skills and understanding the fundamentals of the sport.

Level 2 is low contact (Only pushing, no hitting) where they can start getting used to more contact while still staying safe.

​

We welcome kids of any gender to come learn to roller skate and play Roller Derby.

Roller Derby is a great opportunity for kids to stay active, have fun, learn teamwork and communication, and make tons of new friends!
